Jaden joined the Mauck Lab in 2023 with a broad interest in insect ecology and has since engaged in numerous projects studying black soldier fly Hermetia illucens (BSF) applications for sustainable agriculture. Jaden manages BSF steady-state operations, including waste upcycling and rearing chamber maintenance. Currently, Jaden is evaluating the effect of feedstock pre-treatment on BSF gut microbiome diversity to reduce health risks in potentially contaminated substrates.
